We act for both Transferor & Transferees of family home without money consideration.
We set up Workspace with change of roles in processing information.
Why is PEXA charging 2 sets of fees, for both settlement fees & lodgement fee for the Transfer ?

SolutionHi Paul-Lee
We are currently working to improve PEXA pricing for related party dealings.
Provided the transfer consideration is 'Non-Monetary' and SRO returns $0 Duty, we will be pleased to refund the duplicated portion of the PEXA Fee.
Please send me private message via community with the details of the workspace and we will investigate and respond to you.
Regards
Thomas Hansen

Hi,
I have come across the same problem. I think it is incredibly unfair when it is a related parties transaction and PEXA is effectively double dipping with their fees. The same clients are lodging another transfer over the counter as it is not stand alone and the agency fees are a quarter the PEXA fees. It will be a hard one to explain the disbursements when we need to issue the final bill.

Hi Jessica
I have found when acting for both parties that if you send Pexa a message after settlement they will refund the additional fee.

Hi Aaron
We understand this is still the case.
Our Pexa specialist is following up on a refund for us where we acted for both parties and it settled last week.
You just have to email Pexa to ask for the refund.

I just settled using a conveyancer and can't understand why There were two sets of PEXA fees that I had to pay? can you please explain, is this normal? They said it was one fee for my bank and one fee for conveyancer but this doesn't make sense to me.

Hi Thomas what is the process or what email do we send an email to to get a refund on the double pexa fees being charged when we act for both parties.
Is there any work around to stop the fee from generating?

Gilroy

Hi Gilroy,
Thanks for your note. Please contact Vesna on Vesna.Vranjes@pexa.com.au to request refund.
I don't have an ETA for when an alternative process will be in place, sorry.
Regards,
Thomas
