When a business changes their name, but the entity structure and owners remain the same, what does PEXA need to update the new business name on the PEXA subscription? Does a business name change affect the digitial signing?
With regards to your business name change query, as long as your firm’s ABN and entity remains the same, a request to update your firm’s business name can be sent to email@example.com We note, however, the business name must be registered with ASIC and also be registered to the firm’s legal entity.
In regards to whether the business name change will affect your ability to sign in PEXA, this should not affect your ability to digitally sign, unless your firm has also changed email addresses and have ceased to use the previous email address which is also linked to a digital signing certificate. If this is the case, then a new user profile for the new email address will need to be created in your firm’s PEXA account and a new digital signing certificate purchased to match the new user details.
