When I look at the Dashboard, I am unable to see all of the matter that our firm has open. Is this something to do with user settings?

do you have different Workgroups in your organisation?
Level 1. Subscriber Your Organisation (Has Primary default Workgroup - as also requires User permissions)
Level 2. Workgroup (Additional set up per own organisation requirements) - User Specific access
Level 3 . Workspace - each individual Workspace sit within the Workgroups
we have multiple Workgroups and users can only see their nominated User Profile Workgroups.
If more Workgroups are created, and the Workgroups are not updated for each User, you may not be able to see the work that others have permissions to see.
Your Subscriber Manager/Admin may be able to check your access and update for you.
