I've had a legitimate pushback from our local council (which 95% of our conveyancing matters are located within) on the printed/emailed PEXA notice of acquisition. Their problem with the NOA is as follows:
"The Local Government Act 1989 Sect 231 states:
(2) For the purpose of Section 231(1)(a) of the Act, a notice of acquisition of land must be in a form containing the following prescribed particulars -
(ii) Lot Number and Plan Number
This has not been supplied there-fore this transfer cannot be actioned."
Is it possible to add the lot and plan number to the PEXA NOA to avoid us having to double handle this task?
