Has there been any changes with the time frame to complete registration in South Australia? We have numerous cases where settlement has been completed on 31st Jan/1st Feb however registration is yet to complete. Our understanding is that SA has 48 hours time frame for PEXA registration. Is this not correct? This is causing a few issues with tracking the registration as the volumes are quite high where matters have not yet registered.
I had called up the titles office today and was advised they are currently looking at 29th Jan lodgements. Does this not defeat the whole purpose of electronic lodgement if every case is being manually assessed?
Keen to know if others are facing similar delays.
Thanks

SolutionHi @pallathr
If a Discharge of Mortgage or Mortgage lodged as standalone or in series passes the electronic examination business rules, it will be registered through this automated mechanism. Where a Discharge of Mortgage or Mortgage fails the business rules, or the series includes another document, then the complete series will be sent for manual examination and registration.
You will need to consult the registry if you believe that there is a lodgement case that satisfies the business rules & is not proceeding to register in a timely manner.

Hi @pallathr
PEXA lodgements that fall within the scope of auto-registration and pass all business rules are not manually verified prior to registration.
Land Services SA and the Office of the Registrar General are continuing to expand on the scope of lodgement cases eligible for auto-registration, which we anticipate will be announced in the near future.

Hi Daniel,
Straightforward refinance deals involving discharge and mortgage with no encumbrances on title are taking over 5 business days to complete. I would assume these type of deals would be falling within the scope of auto-registration. Last week when I had called SA titles office, I was advised that they were running 4 days behind and when called yesterday, was advised they were now running 7 days behind.
