Pexa fee

Hi Please advise how you charge Pexa fee? It has usually deducted from source funds at settlement. we did not charge from our client. Do we have to pay that fee or client has to pay?

Solution

Re: Pexa fee

Hey @Aceconveyancing123,
A PEXA fee is charged to each Subscriber in a Workspace upon successful completion of a transaction through PEXA. The fee will vary based on the type of transaction being completed, they can be found here. All PEXA fees are deducted from your nominated Direct Debit Account. How or if you bill these fees to your customer is ultimately a decision for you to make, perhaps others on Community are willing to share what they do? Hope this helps.

Re: Pexa fee

It is likely that it was deducted from your source funds at settlement, but essentially it will depend on whether you are providing the source funds or they are coming from the Lender via the workspace.
Certainly in WA all funds required would be made available to the Conveyancer prior to settlement or be advanced by the Lender at settlement, including, but not limited to your settlement fees, rates and taxes, stamp duty, PEXA fees, etc.
I would suggest that you refer back to your PEXA Manager/Administrator, ready the participation rules and refer to the following:-
