I have just lodged a caveat on a property involved in a divorce proceeding. Can someone then register a mortgage over that property? I understand a bank will be unlikely to but this is an associated party to the owner so they won't be worried about that. If they do register a mortgage would they be "in front of me" or an unsecured creditor? Many thanks
