Hi new user here, having performed self settlement in the past for a number of properties, I see this new PEXA system in use for the first time.
So the question is, does PEXA still allow for an individual to perform settlement on their own, for the purchase? Or can it only be performed by a licensed settlement agent?

In all jurisdictions only eligible parties are able to join the PEXA network. This eligibility is set under the Model Participation Rules, as outlined by ARNECC. These can be found here: https://www.arnecc.gov.au/publications/model_participation_rules Licensed conveyancers and lawyers are eligible to join, but individuals are generally not.
In WA Landgate does make allowance for self-represented parties to still lodge any documents in a paper format. You can read more on this here: https://www0.landgate.wa.gov.au/for-individuals/legislation-and-reform/electronic-conveyancing
Hope that helps.
