Stamp Duty_Acting for an incoming proprietor that is a company

Hi everyone,

I have difficulty completing the Stamp Duty section on PEXA.

We act for a substituted purchaser who is a corporate trustee and cannot link Duties Online form to PEXA transaction as the Duties Online Transaction Type cannot involve a Company as Transferee. This transaction is restricted from Duties Online. So, I don't know how to complete the Duties Online Transaction and link it to PEXA.

I wonder if anyone could help me with this issue. Thank you in advance.

Solution

Re: Stamp Duty_Acting for an incoming proprietor that is a company

Hi @Jessica_Tran

I suggest that you clarify with the SRO as to whether duty for your transaction can be assessed via DOL. If yes then please see this guide on how to verify stamp duty. However if your transaction is subject to a SRO Duty determination (or complex determination) then your transaction will need to complete via paper as it is currently out of scope.

I hope that answers your question.

Kind regards

Nancy
