Stamp Duty Verification - SA

I prepared a paper Transfer for Opinion stamping with Revenue SA some months ago.

I did not select e-conveyancing when submitting for Opinion.

The document was assessed exempt and completed and I have the Certificate of Stamp Duty with Doc ID.

As it was originally prepared in paper and not anticipating completing in PEXA, if I were to create a Workspace for the transaction in PEXA and insert the Doc ID received from Revenue SA on the Certificate of Stamp Duty, would this verify the stamp duty and enable the transaction to be completed in PEXA?

Re: Stamp Duty Verification - SA

Hi Sheryn

It can be done but the original submission will need to be cancelled in Revenue SA Online and a new e-conveyancing one completed using the assessment number. The process should take about 10 minutes and you will be reissued a new Revenue SA Document ID number.
