Stand alone transfers

Hi all

Just wanting to get a rundown on how to register a stand alone transfer through PEXA when the settlement was completed (after 1 March 20181) on paper.

Re: Stand alone transfers

Hi @Jon,

We have a great thread here on all things relating to the 1 March mandate in Victoria, including a statement from Land Use Victoria confirming the following -

Basically the standalone transfer will be assessed for lodgment through the conditions set out in the Registrars Requirements Version 4 and keeping in mind the exceptions listed most recently in Customer Bulletin no 175 published in February 2018.

If these matters confirm for the registrar that this matter should be lodged electronically then the paper document will be refused from acceptance and will need to be created and lodged via the electronic channel PEXA.

If you have completed the settlement of a standalone transfer in paper that should have settled via the electronic channel, you will need to open a workspace in PEXA, invite in your counter-party, create your documents, assess and pay stamp duty through Duties Online (in contemplation of a PEXA settlement) and follow the matter through to completion.

We have some great information here to help with completing a transfer in Victoria, but don't hesitate to reach out to your PEXA Direct Specialist if you need further assistance.

Heather
