Transfer Duty NSW

Hi,

As a first time PEXA user I need some help.

usually I stamp at settlement over the counter at SAI Global in Sydney.

I do not have EDR or a trust account and so am unsure how I can pay Transfer Duty for my purchaser client.

Can it be paid through to PEXA along with the settlement funds and a direction to pay duty?

Thanks and sorry if this has been covered elsewhere.

P Grant

Solution

Re: Transfer Duty NSW

Hi @Ritz

You are able to continue to have an agent complete the duty assessment, but then remit payment via the PEXA workspace.

Still ensure that the payment will be made within the required Revenue NSW time frame.

When forwarding your documents for assessment, add a screen shot of the 'stamp duty' screen. This will provide the required reference for the Revenue NSW EDR system.
