VIC Change of Company Name

Hi

I am trying to change the name of the company on title from Company A to Company B (same ACN).  I have a Client Authorisation from Company B (the new company name).  When I try to complete the "Application - New Folio - section 32" it only allows Company A as the applicant.  Does this mean I have to get a Client Authorisation from Company A (which effectively no longer exists) or is there some way I can change the Applicant to Company B?

Hi Jason,

I ended up sending the following (in paper) directly to the Land Registry Services.

We  enclose the following:

1.  signed Application for new folio of the Register (32TLA);
2. Statutory Declaration supporting the Application;
   1. *** is the true and correct name of the company.
   2. *** was formerly known as *** and former to that known as *** registered as proprietor of the land in folio of the Register Volume *** Folio ***.
   3. The reason for this application is to record the change of name of the registered proprietor of the abovementioned properties.
3. Original Certificates of Title.
