Victoria - Registrar's Caveat

We have a purchase settlement coming up where Title shows a Registrar's Caveat.  How will the removal of the Registrar's Caveat be dealt with in the PEXA settlement transaction?  Ie. will the Registrar's Caveat automatically be withdrawn?  Has anyone come across it in PEXA yet?

Re: Victoria - Registrar's Caveat

Did this question get answered please?  We have one to settle this week as well and wanting to know the process.  Is there a registration fee to be allowed in PEXA for the removal of this caveat by the registrar?

Re: Victoria - Registrar's Caveat

PEXA had no answer to my query.  I went straight to Land Use Victoria by telephone - effectively it is treated in the same manner as it was in the paper world - the registration of the Transfer of Land removes the Registrar's Caveat - registration of the Transfer may take a little longer as it is pulled aside for examination.  There is no registration fee as there is no document to remove it except for the Transfer of Land.  We did not have any difficulty with settlement and registration of the Transfer of Land occurred on the settlement date.  I hope this helps.
