Whole of Shortfall Funds Uploaded

I have completed the Total Funds Required to Settle (including the Incoming Mortgagee's PEXA, rego & other funds they require) but the Incoming Mortgagee's Solicitor have uploaded the whole Shortfall Funds they have authority for and sent me the following:

"Hi team. Source funds entered. Please balance funds as soon as possible. Please direct any unused funds to your client as a destination line as we do not hold authority to deal with these funds. Thank you."

Shouldn't they only upload the amount of Shortfall Funds required to settle, not make me upload an additional Destination Line item to pay back our client the extra money that they took?

Thanks, Sonia

Re: Whole of Shortfall Funds Uploaded

yes, they should only upload what you have requested not everything they have.

You are right to go back to them and state that you have advised them of the exact amount and that is all you require.  I often find that with these types of conversations it is just lack of training from the banks.
