Hi Sharon,
I am having the same issue. Did you manage to find out how to lodge the transfer?
Thanks in advance.

Hi @Sharontylawyers and @tmc
If it's a paper transfer to be lodged with discharge and/or mortgage, you can lodge it in paper per paper process.
If there's no accompanying instrument, you need an electronic, not a paper transfer. Since 1 July 2018, standalone transfers in NSW are required to be electronic.
To prepare one, open a transfer workspace (with financial settlement), add your land title, create your party and invite the other practitioner.
Each of you must have a Client Authorisation from your clients to allow you to digitally sign the PEXA transfer.
You will also need to link an EDR assessment to the electronic transfer.

Thanks for your reply Ames. We had already settle in June with the Vendor on paper. Is opening the workspace the only way to lodge the Transfer? Is there any other way to lodge it?

Hi @tmc
You should be able to lodge the June transfer in paper. It is only from 1 July that they must be electronic,

Hi all,
I have a similar situation.
I completed a paper settlement on 31/07/2018 and is now holding a duly executed Transfer, a clear Certificate of Title and copy of registered Power of Attorney.
How can I register the transfer with NSW LRS via PEXA?
Regards,
MF

The instruction that you referred to is more general instruction for a normal PEXA settlement that involves other parties with financial settlements. Is there any specific process in PEXA just for the registration of a standalone Transfer after a paper settlement is completed? In such a situation, there won't be any financial settlements or any need to invite other participants.

You cannot lodge a transfer which has been signed in paper. An electronic transfer must be created in PEXA, prepared by representatives for both the transferor and transferee, stamped (linked to the assessment in the duty office online system) and then digitally signed by the represenatives for both the transferor and transferee.
The paper transfer you hold cannot be used in connection with a PEXA lodgement. Accordingly, the instructions above are the ones you will need to follow.
