Withdrawing a nomination in closed workspace

I opened a workspace with a view to lodging survivorship applications for two separate properties (same deceased proprietor and same surviving proprietor).  Both certificates of title were paper titles so I lodged nominations to convert them to eCTs.  Having done that, I was informed that I cannot lodge the survivorship applications in the same workspace.  I deleted the lodgement instructions but that deleted the applications and the workspace then recorded as closed.

On opening up a new workspace for an individual survivorship application, I am told that the eCT has been nominated to another workspace.  The problem is that initial workspace won't allow me to withdraw the nomination(s).

How can I withdraw the nominations so I can proceed in the new workspaces?

Solution

Re: Withdrawing a nomination in closed workspace

What has worked for me in the past when the message arrives that the 'eCT has been nominated to another workspace', is that I create a Withdrawal of Nomination in the current workspace and lodge the document. Once the lodgement has been successful, I proceed with triggering a lodgement verification on the Nomination I had created previously within the workspace and generally that comes back successful.

I am keen to see if there is another resolution to this.

Re: Withdrawing a nomination in closed workspace

Hi @MDela,

Have you been given or worked out a solution to your problem?  I am keen to know as we have a similar issue.

We had created a Workspace for a stand alone Survivorship, had created the Nomination, signed and submitted lodged it for lodgement.  However, when we went to sign the Survivorship it would only let us edit it.  Having had this same issue with a Discharge of Mortgage only last week, I knew to go in and edit the parties names in the participants tab (because PEXA automatically brings in their first and second name in the one box you have to separate them).  I then went back to sign the Survivorhsip only to find it had been deleted, the Nomination lodged and the Workspace completed!  So, given what you have experienced we will no doubt be faced with the same issue.

Re: Withdrawing a nomination in closed workspace

Hi @Clarkee,

Your method is correct.  Another member of our firm contacted PEXA and were advised to do the same.  We have done it and have had a successful outcome.

cheers
