Today I completed a sale settlement on pexa where money was deposited into our general account for our professional fees and our trust account for the balance of the funds due to the vendor. In both cases I amended the reference from the long pexa number to our clients name and file reference - yet when the funds appeared in our accounts the reference was Edmonds Conveyancing. Does anyone know how can this be corrected for next time? thanks Amanda

Hi, was there a resolution to this?
I have the same issue, the payment reference is never what I input as a description and just a series of numbers.

Has there been an answer to this? We are also receiving pexa numbers on our bank statements which is causing problems. How do we get our own reference numbers there?

If you are populating the ‘Transaction Description’ field within the PEXA Financial Settlement Schedule, then the information should appear on your account statement to assist with reconciliation.
It is possible that the Bank where your Trust account or the destination line item account resides with, may not be applying the correct ‘Transaction Description’ information and therefore causing the issue with the mismatch on the account statement. We can confirm that is definitely providing the correct information to the respective Banks payment systems, however, we will need to work with the individual Banks in question to have them update their systems accordingly. Is it possible to advise which Bank you are experiencing the issues with so we can confirm and advise of any changes required and associated timelines to resolve?
If you PM me which bank you're dealing with I'll follow up with our FI team today.
