Since Landgate from 27/5/19 are going to accept single Proprietor name at least on their Property Reporting Online system. Will this feature be coming to ROL and by extension PEXA as well?
from 27/5/19 single Proprietor name in PRO

SolutionHi @DMc
In WA you can settle deals for parties with one name in PEXA. In ROL you need to enter the party's name in the surname field and in PEXA it needs to be in the first name field. You might find the Troubleshooting Guide for WA stamp duty verification useful for future reference: https://community.pexa.com.au/t5/Help-Centre/Stamp-Duty-Help-Center/ba-p/61 (see the document attached at the bottom of this page).
@Karolidis_and_Co - I know this was an issue previously in PEXA, but that may have changed. @JonTeh are you able to advise re parties with one name in Vic?
Thanks
Angella

Interesting. I would also like confirmation re VIC as I'm sure we've had this situation before however cannot remember if it was pre-PEXA and/or how we dealt with it...

Yes, I can confirm you can settle with a single name or first and middle name in Victoria now.

Just by way of update on this post - unfortunately OSR made a recent change to their ROL system and we can no longer verify transfer duty for parties with one name in PEXA.
OSR are working on a fix for this, but as yet, we do not have an ETA. I will advise once this has been fixed to allow one name parties to be processed in PEXA again.
Apologies

We are delighted to update you that the issue with stamping “One-named parties” appears to be resolved. OSR put through a fix on 15 October 2019 and we have since received a successful verification on a transaction with one name.
Please let us know if you encounter any further issues.
Kind regards
Rebekah

Hi @AngellaC
Just following up if there has been any updates with RevenueWA accepting a client that only has a single legal name (whether it's the first name or surname)?
Previously this was acceptable and able to settle via PEXA prior to their ROL system change.
Thank you

Hi @RebekahD
Sorry I must have missed your message about the single name being resolved with RevenueWA. Just confirming we able to proceed when FHOG is applicable?
Thank you

Hi @Jodietai
Correct - you should be able to proceed on matters for parties with one name in PEXA. It is also my understanding that you should be able to settle these matters on PEXA for FHOG recipients. I believe that the banks need to use a full stop in the surname of the FHOG system, but this can be ignored in Revenue Online, although it will prompt the user in the system with a warning to that the fact that the names are slightly different, but this can be proceeded with, once acknowledged.
Further information on this can be found in our WA Transfer Duty Troubleshooting Guide: https://community.pexa.com.au/t5/Share-your-Experiences/Troubleshooting-guide-for-WA-Transfer-Duty-V...
Hope this helps,
Angella
