When following STEP 3: PEXA SIGNING APPLICATION FOR WINDOWS & GOOGLE CHROME I receive the following error when attempting to install the program to the default destination directory: "Installation must be on a local hard drive".

I have attempted opening the program as Administrator and changing the directory to just the local disk itself. Neither solves the problem.

Yes, the directory chosen is the local (only) hard drive.

Any ideas for a solution?

We have different network platforms for use with different arms of our organisation. Unfortunately this means we cannot use the same certificate for the two platforms, resulting in the need to obtain two separate certificates. I understand that this is a Symantec constraint but it does cause extra work and expense.

Hi @CohenVeshut,

I've done some digging on my side in regards to this issue. It looks like this is a known issue for .msi files on some Windows environments. I might have a workaround for you, however it’s a little technical - I’ll PM you with more details.

Thanks

Georgina

Also add a step of 'registering' the Certificate for use, especially if new PC.

Go to Windows Start button/menu type smart, find & open App called 'Smart Security Interface' goto registration tab and click on 'register'.

Hi @Samuel!

This is likely due to you using a 32bit machine, which are a bit less common nowadays. Please click here for an alternative download link to use which should work perfectly.

Thanks!

Any chance of having the installer verified by MS app store for Windows 10 Pro in S mode?

Windows10ProS-mode.PNG

Edge compatability wouldn't hurt either...
