If a mortgagee has been received a participation request to which they’ve not responded, it appears as a PR notification in the PEXA Exchange Workspace.
Mortgagees on Title and any subscriber wishing to act as a Mortgagee on Title can view pending participation requests via the PRs link in PEXA Exchange. Participation requests will remain pending until the mortgagee responds to it.
If you’re in PEXA Projects, click My MoT Projects > Outstanding Participation Requests, otherwise skip this step. You’ll be redirected to the PEXA Exchange Workspace.
In PEXA Exchange, click the PRs link. A list of all pending requests is displayed.
From here, click View to open a participation request and choose one of the following:
Accept the request to join the Project. Upon accepting a participation request, the mortgagee is added to all current and future Workspaces for the Project. Mortgagees also have the option to allocate a Workgroup to a specific Workspace.
Decline the request to join the Project. The mortgagee must provide a reason for declining, which the proprietor can see on the Outstanding or declined Participations Requests screen. Declining the request removes it from the Pending list. Mortgagees remain named in the Project until the proprietor removes them by updating the mortgagee detail.
Forward the request to a panel member or related entity so that they can join the Project. By forwarding the participation request, the request remains pending until the forwarded member accepts or declines the request.
Once the mortgagee has responded, the proprietor’s dashboard is updated to reflect the acceptance status. The proprietor can view and edit the mortgagee’s details anytime up until the request has been accepted.
To enable auto-representation, the Mortgagee on Title must set up frequently represented parties in PEXA Exchange.
Mortgagee on Title accepts the participation request.
In PEXA Projects, the Proprietor on Title uploads child titles that lists the Frequently Represented Party as the Mortgagee on Title.
In PEXA Exchange, navigate to the Participants screen and you'll now see that the Mortgagee on Title auto-represents the frequently represent party.
