Survivorship and Transmission applications cannot be lodged in the same Workspace, attempting to do this will result in Lodgement Verification errors.
Therefore when a Survivorship or Transmission application is required in support of a subsequent Transfer, you will need to complete and lodge a standalone Survivorship or Transmission application in a separate Workspace prior to lodging the Transfer.
This article applies to the following:
- (VIC) Survivorship
- (VIC) Transmission
NSW & SA Workspaces:
- NSW: You can lodge a Transmission Application on its own in a PEXA Workspace, or together in the same Workspace as a Transfer or Mortgage.
- SA: You can lodge a Survivorship Application or Transmission Application on its own in a PEXA Workspace, or together in the same Workspace as a Transfer or Mortgage.
Steps
Lodging a standalone Survivorship or Transmission application with a Transfer
A standalone Survivorship (VIC) or Transmission (VIC) application must be lodged in a separate Workspace prior to lodging the Transfer.
Step 1: Create a standalone Survivorship or Transmission application
- In a new Workspace, create a Survivorship or Transmission.
- Submit it for lodgement.
- Ensure that the Survivorship or Transmission application is successfully registered:
- Navigate to the Documents screen.
After submitting a Survivorship or Transmission for lodgement, the Document Status sequence flows from Lodging, Lodged, to Registered.

Step 2: Create a separate Transfer; once the Survivorship or Transmission is Registered
- Create a new Workspace for the Transfer.
The Proprietor on Title will be the based on the new information provided in the Survivorship or Transmission.
- Complete the lodgement of the Transfer as normal.

- Navigate to the Document screen.
- From the Actions column, select Remove Document for the Transfer document.
- Click Yes to confirm removing the document from the Workspace.
- Remove the Settlement from the Workspace:
- Navigate to the Settlement
- On the Financial Settlement Schedule panel, from the Actions column, select Remove Settlement.
- Enter a reason for removing the financial settlement and then click Confirm to remove the Settlement from the Workspace.
