I think it would a great addition for PEXA to be able to send payment confirmations (akin to say confirmation of direct deposits with personal/business online banking) to third parties who are receiving funds at settlement.
This could avoid a third party need to actually check their own account to confirm payment.

Thanks @Jonathan,
We are currently investigating better ways to communicate successful completion of a settlement, not just to participants in a workspace, but also other interested parties.
We have our SettleMe application, and we've introduced realestate notifications following successful settlement.
With the third party payment confirmations, how do you do that outside of PEXA at the moment? Via email?
Thanks again for your feedback,
Brett

I think this is a great idea - whereby the conveyancer/lawyer can send an email receipt/payment confirmation from a PEXA settlement to the beneficiaries of the funds processed as part of an online settlement.
This is particularly important when the beneficiary banks with a second tier bank or credit union and the funds may take a little longer to reach their account.

I have a subscriber who is currently saying that they would want this is a function in the system so that they can show their client the transaction receipt number. This is of paramount importance to them.

Great idea. @Leisa this is similar to what you suggested yesterday: where you can input an email address for each specific destination line item that is created, allowing third parties to receive some sort of notification of payment.

yes @RyanC this is what I had in mind even going that step further to supplier for termite/structural reports and the likes. For our local shires, we advise them how the outstanding rates are paid in our change of ownership ie bpay etc. Would be a great feature.

This would be really great if it could be sped up, as I have a client who needs a receipt for proof of payment for purchase of a caravan & they were quite put out that we could not provide same.
