Electronic conveyancing just got real for practitioners operating in Victoria as the Digital Duties Form is now compulsory for contracts entered into on or after 1st July 2017.
BUT what if you are one of many practitioners who has always engaged your settlement agent to process duties on your behalf? You may not even be registered for Duties Online.
Network Lawyers assists practitioners in making a smooth transition to the digital world. They offer an outsourcing option for a range of electronic conveyancing processes including the Digital Duties Form.
To outsource the completion of the Digital Duties Form you would follow the steps below.
Notify the other side that Network Lawyers is acting on your behalf and email:
Your client's email address and date of birth
Particulars Page of the Contract
Notification of any nominations or concessions
Network Lawyers will ensure the form is completed and that a Settlement Statement can be produced at settlement. You will receive a Digital Duties Reference number that you can forward on to your bank.
