My clients often tell me they feel nervous or worried about their first settlement in PEXA. That's completely understandable. Looking back twelve or so months to my first settlement as a PEXA Direct Specialist, I was also nervous. I remember driving an hour or so to my practitioner in Bowral. It was a clear crisp winter's day. Just as I had arrived at the very first house, there it was… Snow! I couldn't believe it. I was told that it had not snowed in Bowral for years. It was pretty amazing.
All the parties to the transaction met in the one office to watch our first settlement together. Everything went through smoothly and we all celebrated with some bubbles.
What we are doing for the industry is exciting and not without its fair share of challenges. Most people will feel nervous about their first settlement. That's just human nature. The entire PEXA team are here to support you in these changes.
I encourage you to let your peers know what to expect and help them learn by sharing your first PEXA settlement story.

How true.... It's like anything you do for a first ......for example your first interview or if you haven't done a interview for a while, you are always better at the next one as you learn from the experience. As you noted, being a team is a key to success and thats what PEXA prides itself on. Always put your hand up if you need help. Someone will always be there to assist.

I saw @HelenBenge in action at the Port Macquarie road show with speakers from the Office of State Revenue and the NSW LPI. What an inspirational speaker @HelenBenge is. The room was packed with lawyers and conveyancers who took part in a pretty interesting Q&A at the end of the session. Look out for more information sessions with this excellent speaker - who weaves in some great anecodotes that amused as well as informed the gathered audience.
