It would seem that there is a significant problem with Nominations lodged in Vic regarding Discharge of Mortgages. The PEXA system returns an error that the EcT has not been lodged to the workspace EVEN THOUGH the Nomination lodgement has completed successfully.
I have experienced this problem when acting for discharging mortgagees in nearly every case. I have also seen it happen to other practitioners whom act for a discharging mortgagee when I am on the other side.
A withdrawal of nomination sometimes fixes the problem, but not always and the problem does not seem to be getting fixed.

Hi Richard,
Often this occurs as a result of 3 common issues:
1. The original lodgement case (including the actual documents you are lodging ie Discharge, Transfer or mortgage) is removed from the workspace after the nomination has been lodged, this makes the original nomination to the now deleted lodgement case redundant as it is no longer nominating to any lodgement case. If a nomination is sitting above other documents in the workspace, this error has occured. Fix: Lodge a Withdrawal of nomination and relodge a new nomination to the lodgement case.
2. The nomination is not completed correctly or is not signed and lodged so it is in a 'Completed' document status. Fix: Sign the nomination and it's associated lodgement instructions and click the cog to the right of the lodgement instructions and select 'Submit for Lodgement'
3. The nomination has been lodged correctly but the lodgement instructions for the lodgement case (including the actual documents you are lodging ie Discharge, Transfer or mortgage) have not updated. Fix: Edit and save the lodgement instructions for the lodgement case (these will often be in 'Unsuccessful' Verification Status).

Thanks for your reply, but even if all of those issues are fixed or avoided the same error still appears. This appears to be a systemic issue as it happens regularly in settlements involving a nomination lodged by a discharging mortgagee. I have had the issue many times and I have seen it constantly when other subscribers are lodging for the discharging mortgagee in a matter.
Even when the fixes you refer to are applied the PEXA system refuses to see the EcT as having been nominated and the matter cannot proceed further without assistance from PEXA as nothing seems to work - and on Friday we could not get through to the PEXA help desk!
