To simplify the e-Conveyancing process Setts Plus has integrated with PEXA. This means that certain PEXA activities can be completed automatically with the data you enter into Setts Plus.
What is integration?
Integration is the transfer of data between Setts Plus and PEXA . Integration enables certain PEXA activities to be completed automatically by using the data you enter into Setts Plus. To integrate, we use a technology communication method called API (Application Programming Interface). The below gives you an overview of the functionality that is now available in Setts Plus. You'll also find a training manual with examples attached to the right hand side of this article.

Functionality available in Setts Plus
Search Land Title
Verify in Setts Plus if your land title is eligible for electronic lodgement and whether the land title is currently ‘in use' in any other PEXA workspaces.
Search Subscriber
Search for active PEXA subscribers , by either their Subscriber ID or Subscriber/Organisation name directly in Setts Plus.
Create Workspace
From Setts Plus you can create a PEXA workspace, without opening PEXA! Setts Plus will automatically push key data to PEXA to enable the workspace to be created. This will include transferral of party details, land title details and settlement date. A new workspace will be created and the workspace ID will be returned to Setts Plus and linked to your matter automatically.
Update workspace
Gives you the ability to sync any updates to party details or land title information directly from your matter in SettsPlus
Send invitations
Automatically sends your workspace invitation from Setts Plus to other parties or yourself (if you are representing both sides). This can be completed at the same time as creating your workspace.
Responding to invitations
Respond to your PEXA invitations from Setts Plus - accept, decline or return the PEXA workspace invitation with the ability to add a response reason if required.
Settlement Availability
In SettsPlus you can retrieve a list of available settlement times for the given settlement date. You can use this pre or post your workspace creation.
Maintain Settlement Date
In Setts Plus you can propose a new settlement date/time, accept a proposed settlement date/time or reset your settlement acceptance status to pending and this will automatically update PEXA.
Workspace summary
In Setts Plus retrieve a summary of workspaces. Data available in Setts Plus will include party and participant details, document summary, settlement date/time, quick links into PEXA, and any associated fees.
Workspaces
In Setts Plus retrieve a list of your workspaces to see the last date it was modified. The workspaces you can see in Setts Plus are exactly the same as your workspace summary dashboard in PEXA but without having to go into PEXA!
Workgroups
If you are a PEXA Subscriber Manager or a PEXA Subscriber Administrator you can retrieve a view of your PEXA workgroups for your business and the users who are assigned to them workgroups.
Workspace Documents
In Setts Plus you can retrieve PEXA workspace documents that have been digitally signed and lodged with a jurisdictional land registry. The lodgement case must be in the status of ‘Lodged’, ‘Completed’ or ‘Not Accepted’.
Financial Settlement Statement
If your matter includes a Financial Settlement, create a settlement schedule and add financial settlement line items to the settlement schedule in Setts Plus. This data will automatically be passed to PEXA including any updates made. Please note: only end state figures should be entered into the schedule and the line items can only be added when the workspace is in the status of ‘In Preparation, ‘Prepared’ and ‘Ready’.

In the absence of Setts+ Pexa API integration specific forum. Just reporting some workspace CREATION issue where Address format throws PEXA error when dealing with something like 'Unit 1 B, 2 Applesauce Road, ROCKINGHAM"... PEXA doesn't like, (as throws an error PEXA Error Code: OB1405.075) nor will it accept the letter after the unit number being included in that unit number field.
AFAIK the only workaround in the meantime is to move the letter from the unit field -->to in front of the street number ie 'Unit 1, B2 Applesauce Road SwingingPig ROCKINGHAM' NB: no space nor comma allowed after the letter, before the number.

Another API workspace creation error where the Incoming Proprietor has a PO Box...
Any idea when this will get sorted?

Hey @DMc - I've checked with our integration team and currently other address types in the API including PO Box is scheduled for Release 8 in May.

Some additional feedback/workaround tip for any other Setts+ users.
This address issue only seems to inquire the individual clients before and after (if used) address, NOT the address for the 'Main'!
So your letters are OK to use the PO BOX address on the MAIN client addresses, at least till the API is fixed in May Release 8.

Would really love to see this API allow for a Balance sheet verification and account details check - at the click of a button for the User to be assured that the details do NOT differ at least on the PEXA FSS in any way from their file balance sheet.
This would be SUPER Handy for File Signers to speedily double/triple check before the application of their digital signature!

Wondering why the API times out after 8 hrs on Authentication when spec says 12hrs? At least that what I've been told!

Thank you for reaching out on this. We have conducted some initial investigation and testing and confirmed the API session is valid for more than 8 hours. We are continuing to work with SettsPlus to investigate the specific instances where the session seems to be expiring and will keep the community informed on this.
