@LynMac if you do happen to leave your phone at home, and are unable to go get it please c all Support on 1300 084 515 and press 3 and, following security checks, a member of the PEXA Support team will temporarily disable your multi-factor authentication so that you can log in to PEXA using your username and password. ... Hi @LynMac, you may only use one authentication method. Either the PingID App or SMS on mobile phone, or w here it is not possible to use your mobile phone for multi-factor authentication, the PingID application on your desktop.  ... View more

Hi @imartino, thanks for your question. We have taken this feedback on board and understand there are instances where it is not possible to use your mobile phone for this purpose. In those cases, you will need to download the PingID application onto your desktop. The desktop app will require you to set-up a personal PIN to access the one-time passcode generator. Hi @ally1 The use of multi-factor authentication (MFA) is required to provide PEXA members with an additional layer of security when using PEXA. You will only be required to enter a one-time passcode once every 12 hours unless you switch browsers or device.  You can opt to receive your one-time passcode via SMS or the PingID app on your mobile phone. You will not need to provide your personal phone number when using the PingID app. If you select SMS, the phone number you provide will only be used to send you the one-time passcode and will not be stored for any other purpose. Where it is not possible to use your mobile phone for this purpose, you will need to download the PingID application onto your desktop. Hi Sue, we are currently in a pilot phase with selected lawyers and conveyancers. Hi @clovelly Thanks for your questions, I've added comments below each one. You can also find a list of FAQs on multi-factor authentication here.  Can I use a non-Australian carrier/phone to receive an SMS message? Yes, if you set up SMS authentication with that phone. You would need to unpair your Australian phone prior to going overseas which you can do by calling PEXA Support.  If I have to use the PingID will it work outside of Australia? Yes, the PingID will work wherever you have internet access.  Will PingID work via wifi? Yes.  Will PingID work where IP address is not Australian? Yes.  Will PingID work with a non-Australian SIM in the phone? Yes. The PingID works through internet connection so it doesn't matter what SIM you have, and will work even without a SIM card. If you have SMS activated, then yes, you would just need to set up MFA with that number. To unpair your Australian number prior, you would need to contact PEXA Support.  Will PingID work through a VPN? The PingID app will work with internet connection and does not require VPN.   Would I be able to download PingID to a non-Australian phone? Yes, you can download the PingID app to any phone.  Would I be able to pair PingID with a new PC outside of Australia? Yes. PingID is connected to your PEXA account and can be used wherever you use PEXA.  Generally, you can't access 1300 number outside of Australia, can you switch from SMS to PingID (or vice versa) to support via email? ? I will follow this up for you. At the moment you would need to unpair your phone prior to leaving Australia by calling PEXA Support. When you arrive in another country, you would be able to set-up your new phone with either the app or SMS.  ... View more

On this page you'll find the set-up guide and videos for both PingID App authentication and SMS authentication. For FAQs on multi-factor authentication please see this article.  PingID Authentication - Video & Set-up guide For PingID app: Ensure you have your mobile phone handy. When you land on the new multi-factor authentication set-up page in PEXA, download the   PingID app   from either the Apple App Store or Android Play Store. Tap   Open, Accept   the Terms of Service, and then Tap   I understand   and Allow or OK for each pop up that appears.  Then, you need to pair your device. On the set-up screen click   I have the app open. Use your phone to complete set up by either scanning the QR code or entering the manual   Pairing Key.  Once pairing is completed, set up your profile by entering a profile name.  Authenticate for the first time by entering the one-time passcode. Pairing is now complete and you will taken to your PEXA dashboard.  SMS Authentication - Video & Set-up guide For SMS: Ensure you have your mobile phone handy. When you land on the new multi-factor authentication set-up page in PEXA click on Set up SMS authentication. In the pop up, click Receive passcode via SMS. Ensure the Australian flag is selected in the drop-down menu, enter your mobile phone number and click Next.  You will receive a text message with a one-time passcode. Enter it in the screen and click Verify.  Your mobile number is now connected to your account and you will taken to your PEXA dashboard.  ... View more

Hello community, the previously reported payment file response issue has been resolved. Workspaces with financial settlement are now proceeding. PEXA, in conjunction with the financial institution, are currently reviewing how and why this happened, with a view of preventing it reoccurring. One of PEXA's integrated financial institutions has advised us that they have identified an issue which has caused the advised payment file response issue. Workspaces with financial settlement will likely remain in a status of 'Settling' or 'Disbursing' for longer than usual until the underlying issue can be resolved. PEXA, in conjunction with the financial institution, are working together to find the source of the issue and will undertake a thorough review of how and why this happened, with a view of preventing it reoccurring.
