Hi Tracey, I’ve broken your questions down to help answer them J For many I have pointed you to some more generic articles that should be of assistance and answered other in line. I need to prepare a survivorship application, there is a mortgage attached which should be paid off, so a discharge of mortgage will need to be done at the same time. Do I still need to do the bank's paperwork for the discharge (CBA) or does the PEXA discharge process take care of this? The Mortgage needs to be discharged by CBA, and this can be done either in same workspace as the Survivorship or in a separate workspace. In both scenarios CBA will need to participate to create and sign the Discharge of Mortgage. For more information please check out : https://community.pexa.com.au/t5/Help-Centre/How-to-Discharge-a-Mortgage-All-States/ba-p/27 and https://community.pexa.com.au/t5/Help-Centre/Mortgage-Discharge-Overview/ba-p/28 How are the PEXA fees paid, do I have an option to make payment or are they automatically withdrawn from my account? I recommend reviewing the following FAQ on PEXA Fees : https://community.pexa.com.au/t5/Help-Centre/PEXA-Fees-and-Lodgement-Fees-FAQs/ba-p/2820 How can I find what account is registered for payments to be deducted (I don't want fees paid out of my trust account if I don't have any client funds in that account) I recommend reviewing the following FAQ on PEXA Fees : https://community.pexa.com.au/t5/Help-Centre/PEXA-Fees-and-Lodgement-Fees-FAQs/ba-p/2820 How are the DEWLP fees paid, will I be billed for that by them, or does payment need to be made before the application is processed, and how is that made? though PEXA? I recommend reviewing the following FAQ on PEXA Fees : https://community.pexa.com.au/t5/Help-Centre/PEXA-Fees-and-Lodgement-Fees-FAQs/ba-p/2820 In relation to the survivorship application, does the PEXA system do away with the need for the survivors statutory declaration, or does that still need to be done and lodged separately with DEWLP? Yes, there is no longer a requirement to submit the Statutory Declaration, you instead certify that you have retained evidence supporting the registry instrument or document. I would recommend reviewing the following post https://community.pexa.com.au/t5/Help-Centre/Standalone-Survivorship-Application-ASP-VIC/ba-p/5777 Hope that helps!! Cheers, Simon
