What if the Proprietor has changed their name but they're discharging and their previous name is still registered on the title and they're refinancing to another bank?
Can the workspace for the refinance settlement with a Change of Name be lodged? (Lodgement order of Discharge, Change of Name then National Mortgage)
I've tested this scenario in the training environment and it's allowed the transaction to go through with the new bank (Incoming Mortgagee) being able to register the new mortgage in the Proprietor's new legal name.
For a stand alone Change of Name when the title is issued and in receipt of the Mortgagee on Title, the Subscriber is supposed to have the physical title however is it not possible to utilise the WA second mortgage process?
The Subscriber representing the Proprietor will invite the Mortgagee on Title with the scripting of: Request for Change of Name, please confirm paper CT destroyed and advise your Landgate Issuing box number for the replacement CT
Mortgagee on Title will send a conversation to confirm the issued title will be destroyed upon the lodgement of the Change of Name then confirm their issuing box number for the replacement CT to be sent to.
Unsure if this proposed process should be discussed in the Banking Operations Transformation Working Group then cascaded down to the Practitioners?
