Hello, I have been awarded property in a settlement in Victoria as per Federal Court Orders. The mortgage is to be discharged from the CBA bank on 15th January. The title has both our names on it. His solicitor has stated they will use a conveyancer that will use PEXA and that I will need to pay for a conveyancer that is familiar with this product. I am self represented and of the understanding I can do the transfer via this portal. My questions are: 1. As the property has been awarded to me in court orders can I do the transfer within this portal without the need for a conveyancer? 2. Or as there are court orders instructing that it is to be transferred solely into my name will this be done via the bank through the PEXA portal? 3. What is the best and easiest way to take his name off the title once the mortgage is discharged? Thank you for your time.
